San Jose Strip Clubs: Galleon Group’s Top 10 Holdings

Now of course you know which (ahem) masters of the universe advise on almost all the deals on Wall Street. Surely with the countless people working on these large deals, no information passes from over the Chinese wall (from “deal makers” to “trading arms”) as friends at these firms go out to lunch or to the strip bar. Testosterone heavy males whose only purpose in life is the pursuit of money and power simply would never cross that line, especially after the 4th vodka and tonic. Ahem. As with Bernie Madoff just understand some people (at a few select firms) are smarter than you – even though they trade behind the curtain of black boxes and no one asks questions about how it’s done. They have secretive “processes” to make money, the regulators assure us its all kosher and anything over and above those facts is for them to know and you to never find out. Their consistent out performance in any type of market [Aug 5, 2009: Goldman Sachs Q2 Winning Percentage: 97%] is simply nearly super human skill (they employ only super humans), and has nothing to do with superior information flow. Right Gordon?

San Jose Adult Entertainment: Guest Soapbox: Easy on the vacation rental restrictions

We are constantly talking about attracting a low-impact, non-polluting industry to Twentynine Palms. This is one of the low-impact, non-polluting income streams available to us. It makes no sense to burden these small business owners with so many restrictions that they are unable to establish themselves inside our city limits. Doing so will assure that the only accommodations that can afford to establish themselves here are nationally franchised chains.
As a resident, I would be thrilled to live next door to a well-kept, nicely-painted and landscaped vacation rental.
Why would you ask these potential small business owners to shoulder burdens (ADA compliance, paving, curb/gutter/sidewalk, 1,000-foot distance, etc) that neither motels, B&Bs or long-term rentals are asked to carry?
The argument that a $225 -a-night vacation rental would attract prostitutes and the $39.95 per night motel room does not is ludicrous.

San Jose Adult Entertainment: Boys in the ‘Hood

… a period he told me was “like someone taking a sledgehammer to my gut.” To Showcase’s credit, it renewed the show for a second season. It was toward the end of this instalment that Clattenburg finally heard his first accolade: Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson sent Clattenburg an email in which he raved about the show. (Clattenburg later worked Lifeson into one of fans’ most cherished episodes, in which Ricky kidnaps Lifeson by wrapping him with duct tape and marching him out of a Halifax hotel while loudly announcing, “Hotel security — this man is drunk as fuck, he’s on drugs, he’s a male prostitute, and I’m gonna escort him outta here.”) It soon became apparent that the show’s earliest word-of-mouth generators were musicians, fitting given that many of the actors and Clattenburg himself played in bands. The Tragically Hip asked him to shoot a

EXOTIC DANCERS-GEORGIA
ATLANTA (AP) – Old enough to strip — but not old enough drink. Georgia’s top court has ruled in favor of five exotic dancers who were all under 21. The State Supreme Court says their right to earn a living was stripped by an Atlanta ordinance. That law bans people under 21 from places where alcohol is sold. The women who filed suit were 19 or 20 when the ordinance was passed in 2007. Atlanta officials unsuccessfully argued the law didn’t ban all under-21 strippers, just stripping where booze is available.

San Jose Adult Entertainment: Lost Rewatch: "…And Found," "Abandoned," "The Other 48 Days," "Collision"

The Epic of Gilgamesh is one of the oldest known works of literary fiction. It is from Ancient Mesopotamia, and might be based on an actual ruler from 27 B.C. 27 B.C.!!. In the Epic, Gilgamesh is the son of a goddess and through some creative math is two-thirds god and one-third man. He’s also a really tough King. But he has this RILLY RILLY irritating habit of sleeping with other people’s brides before their husbands do, which isn’t cool. So the goddess of creation creates this half-wild man named Enkidu, but I don’t really know why: to give Gilgamesh what-for? Because instead, Enkidu harasses some shepherds who then complain to Gilgamesh that this half-dressed nut-job is coming into their camps and acting like a total idiot. FINE, says Gilgamesh, and he sends a temple prostitute (!) out to go sleep with Crazy and sure enough, after sleeping with her, is like, alright. I’m cool.

San Jose Adult Entertainment: Capone’s hideout sold for $2.6 M to bank

HAYWARD, Wis. (AP) — Chicago mobster Al Capone’s old rural hideout, complete with guard towers and a stone house with 18-inch (45-centimeter)-thick walls, was sold for $2.6 million Thursday to the bank that foreclosed on it.
Capone — nicknamed “Scarface” — headed a massive bootlegging, gambling and prostitution operation during Prohibition and raked in tens of millions of dollars. He was widely suspected in several murders but never charged.
The bank foreclosed on the 400-acre (164-hectare) wooded site in Hayward, about 75 miles south of Superior, in April 2008 and said the minimum bid would be $2.6 million. The bank had advertised the site as “very private and pristine.”
Capone owned the land in the late 1920s and early 1930s during Prohibition, the bank said. Local legend claims that shipments of bootleg alcohol were flown in on planes that landed on the property’s 37-acre (15-hectare) lake, and were then loaded onto trucks bound for Chicago.
