San Jose Escorts: This isn’t CNN’s prime time

But there’s deep concern that the ratings fall-off has hurt the network’s image, said sources inside CNN who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter. Klein is immersed in conversations about the 8 p.m. slot and has been meeting with a parade of prospective talent. One idea being strongly considered is a political debate show in the same vein as “Crossfire,” one of the first programs Klein axed when he joined the network. A possible host: former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, who resigned from office in 2008 after getting caught in a prostitution scandal. That prospect is viewed dimly by many news veterans inside the organization. (Spitzer is also in talks with MSNBC, where he’s filling in all this week for host Dylan Ratigan.)

San Jose Strip Clubs: Reading candidates’ books unearths nuggets

1. Even after he made his first millions, Steve Poizner still didn’t buy new furniture for his home. That came after his first billion.
2. Even though the family was wealthy, Meg Whitman’s mom made their five-person family stay in a rented tool shed. OK, so it was on the ritzy island of St. John, which Meg describes as “the Beverly Hills of the Caribbean.”
3. Even though she grew up the daughter of an attorney/college law professor who traveled the world, Carly Fiorina paid her own college tuition.
Even if she loses the Senate race, stuff that Carly Fiorina did that makes you want to go out for a beer with her on the day after the primary:
1. At a client’s insistence, went to a strip club, where the dancers refused to perform, saying, “Sorry, gentlemen. Not till the lady leaves.”

San Jose Strip Clubs: Thursday Morning Cupcheck – A Guide to Chicago Sports History

Tired of all this Dallas Stars talk that’s been dominating the airwaves? Here’s a welcome change of pace.
Good morning, hockey fans! Here’s hoping you bet the farm on Jaroslav Halak’s 0-9 record when facing 25 or fewer shots this postseason, and became rich beyond any easily-impressed GM’s wildest dreams. Last week we took science and reason and twisted them to our own nefarious purposes to prove Only-God-Knows-What; this week, I was planning on taking a break from the media circus surrounding the Dallas Stars and getting in a little R&R at my favorite rural Illinois strip club,
Phat Cows, but recent events in el mundo de hockey stayed my course. Of course, I’m talking about the historic Stanley Cup Finals matchup between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Philadelphia Flyers, two teams whose last Stanley Cup victories can be measured in geologic terms.

San Jose Strip Clubs: Oil Spill, Top Kill: Coming Soon To Theaters Everywhere

Of course, in order for this brilliant new marketing ploy to succeed, it couldn’t be obvious that this was all done to hype up a movie.  No.  It had to look real.  And so, the geniuses behind all those movies you know and love sat back and waited… and waited… and then waited some more while the oil gushed all over the place and caused an ecological disaster.  Perfect!  Now America was ripe, their hearts and minds captured, just waiting for someone to swoop in and fight back.  Enter the Van Damme.
Playing an ex-Navy SEAL named Rick Diesel, Van Damme is a lone wolf fighting against a team of insidious monsters, arch-criminals known only by the name BP.  What do they want?  Why did they do it?  Well, Rick Diesel is gonna find out, and he’s gonna find out the only way he knows how, by snapping necks  from Galveston to Pensacola, aided the whole time by the hot daughter of a murdered environmental scientist, played by a stripper named Tits McGee who Van Damme discovered during a drunken night out in New Orleans.

San Jose Strip Clubs: Chicago Blackhawks in final drive for the Stanley Cup…but who is Stanley and …

In 1910, the National Hockey Association took possession of the Stanley Cup, and since 1926 only NHL teams have competed for this treasured prize. The original cup is now surrounded by protected glass in the Lord Stanley’s vault in the National Hockey’s Hall of Fame’s  Verizon Great Hall.  Brookfield Place, 30 Yonge St., Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The “Cup” has undergone many changes since the 1892. The current Cup consists of a bowl, three tiered bands, a collar and five uniform bands.  It is 35 1/4 inches tall and weighs 34 1/2 pounds.
PRESENTATION OF THE CUP.
Once the Cup is presented to the championship team, the celebrations begins.  Each of the organization’s players and staff get to  spend 24 hours alone (or with anyone of their choosing) with the Cup–a tradition which is unique to the NHL and the Cup. Some unusual places where the Cup has been guest of honor include: backyard barbeques, weddings, strip clubs and local pubs.  Reportedly, it has been both urinated and defecated into.  It has shared a bed with at least one hockey player and his wife.  Both a Kentucky Derby winning horse and a player’s dog has eaten from it.

San Jose Escorts: Crime rates down for third year, despite recession

In Washington, where the number of murders fell from 186 to 143, Phil Mendelson, chairman of the D.C. Council’s public safety committee, said case closure rates have gone up as detectives work more quickly and information is shared more within the department.
The police department in Columbus, Ohio, where the violent crime rate went down 10 percent, has been trying different neighborhood strategies, including direct patrols of precinct hot spots aimed at reducing thefts and prostitution. Sgt. Rich Weiner said it is difficult to quantify the role the economy plays in crime rates. Voters last summer approved a city income tax increase that saved 300 police jobs, Weiner said. The city got $1.25 million in federal stimulus money last year to pay the salaries of about 25 new police recruits.

San Jose Adult Entertainment: Stanford track star an inspiration

By David Kiefer
Stanford Athletics
When Leona Banks locked the front door, and secured two locks in the back, her tiny Newhall Street flat felt safe.
Outside, violence, drugs, prostitution, and even toxic waste oozed through the bedeviled southeast corner of San Francisco called Bayview-Hunters Point.
Inside, however, was a refuge, a place where young Tyrone McGraw could lose himself in books, ideas, and inspiration. Tyrone was not only an excellent student, but the fastest kid at St. Paul’s Grammar School. In fact, the future would hold great things for Tyrone, who is still one of the fastest kids at school, though that school is now Stanford University.
McGraw will run the second leg on Stanford’s 400 relay team at the NCAA West Regional in Austin, Texas, on May 28. He holds the school indoor record in the 60 meters and has run on three of the 10 fastest relays in Cardinal history.

San Jose Escorts: Blackhawks Blog: Chicago Hopes To Learn Lessons From Canucks Series

The Hawks are up two games before the series’ conclusion for the second time this postseason.  Hopefully they learned the lesson from the first time, when they sort of “meh”-ed it in Game 5 against the Nucks.  I don’t care if they stay in a hotel or a brothel or a hostel or in an alley, just come out flying like the Sharks have done in Games 1 and 2.  We’ll see if Nabokov can stand tall the way Niemi has done.  Put this team down early, let’s see what’s really between their ears.  Much has been made of their recovery of Boyle’s own goal in Game 3 against the Lanche, but remember Game 4 went to OT and really could have gone either way.  I’m still not convinced of this supposed new-found playoff stones the Sharks claim they have.  I have to see it first.

San Jose Escorts: Will Eliot Spitzer Replace Campbell Brown on CNN? NY Times

Will Eliot Spitzer Replace Campbell Brown on CNN? NY Times
Eliot Spitzer, the former governor of New York who left amid a prostitution scandal, has been working hard to revive his image, restyling himself as a TV pundit and even standing in for MSNBC anchor Dylan Ratigan.
That hasn’t gone unnoticed by CNN, which has held informal conversations with Spitzer about becoming a contributor to its prime-time line-up after Campbell Brown resigned, the New York Times’ Media Decoder blog reports.
But the discussions don’t involve Spitzer becoming an anchor. Instead, Spitzer would become a regular contributor to the cable news channel, which is suffering in the ratings. CNN may introduce a panel discussion program with a range of political voices to replace Brown’s program.
MSNBC declined to comment on Spitzer’s role at its network, although the channel isn’t in negotiations with him about a paid role at the MSNBC.

San Jose Escorts: Spitzer’s Name Arises as CNN Tries to Fill a Seat

Mr. Spitzer has held conversations — but so far only informal ones — about becoming a regular contributor to the cable news channel, The Times said, citing two people who were briefed on the matter. But the people said he was not being courted for an anchoring job, meaning he would not directly replace Ms. Brown in the channel’s 8 p.m. time slot.
That word sparked talk inside CNN this week, and even appeared in David Letterman’s monologue Tuesday night. His punch line: “That would be a switch — somebody paying him for an hour.”
Mr. Spitzer resigned the governorship in 2008 after it was revealed that he solicited prostitutes. As attorney general of New York, Mr. Spitzer earned the nickname the “Sheriff of Wall Street,” after he attacked what he considered to be rampant conflicts of interests at big Wall Street firms, winning settlements from many of the big banks.
