A businessman from the East Coast was robbed Monday morning in his Belmont hotel room, but several circumstances of the crime, including possible gunfire, remain under investigation, police said.
Officers went to the Motel 6 at 1101 Shoreway Road around 8:45 a.m. after getting reports that a guest had been robbed. The businessman said he was punched in the face several times by a robber who stole a laptop computer and a camera. However, at the time of the robbery, the victim had been in his room with a woman with an unclear connection to him. Belmont police Capt. Dan De Smidt said investigators are looking into whether the woman was a prostitute and said the man has not provided a complete explanation of her presence.

San Jose Strip Clubs: Funeral held for Hells Angel killed at fellow biker’s burial begins

Bikers from Tausan’s home club, along with Henchmen, Devils Dolls and many others from as far away as New England and abroad, made up a long line of mourners. They paid their last respects as he lay in the casket, draped with an American flag and custom painted with the Angels’ death’s head with wings and the Marine Corps insignia. Tausan was clad in his leather Hells Angels vest, with a pack of Marlboros and an extended combat knife in his folded hands.
Next to the casket, there was a blown-up photo of him as a young Marine, his military haircut in stark contrast to the long, silvery mane he sported when he died. Also arrayed around the casket were pictures of Tausan on his Victory motorcycle and with his friends and family.
Tausan was better known than most Angels because of the charges he faced in the 1997 beating death of a man at the Pink Poodle strip club in San Jose. He was acquitted.

San Jose Strip Clubs: Another Hells Angel funeral slated for Oak Hill cemetery, but this one will be …

Summer Pettigrew, Jethro’s daughter, was very close to Tausan, and she also knew Ruiz.
“I don’t know why he did it,” she said. “I don’t feel anything, completely numb. I can’t mourn my dad, and now I can’t mourn Steve. It feels like a movie — a really bad movie.”
Jethro Pettigrew was a longtime city of San Jose heavy equipment operator who also happened to be the president of the local Hells Angels.
Tausan was a Hells Angels legend, an ex-boxer who had killed a man with his fists at the Pink Poodle strip club — and walked when a jury acquitted him after he claimed self-defense. The tattooed bail bondsman once proudly showed a reporter some photographs on his cellphone: many of his young son, and one of the bloody face of the man he had killed.

A Sacramento couple faces federal charges of using money, drugs and violence to keep control of four teenage prostitutes who they forced to work out of hotels in South San Francisco and San Jose.
Mike and Helen Singh began by offering the girls a 50 percent share of the $100 per hour men paid for sex with them as well as food, shelter and a supply of drugs including methamphetamine, according to a federal court affidavit filed by the FBI. But the girls received none of the cash, were forced to stay and some were beaten.
One of the girls was a 16-year-old runaway with a criminal record. Another had her mother’s permission to be with the Singhs, though the parent told police she had no idea her daughter was a prostitute. A third teen, who was 18, allegedly had her jaw broken by Mike Singh for not managing the other girls well.

San Jose Adult Entertainment: Sacramento man gets four years in state prison in Lower Ocean Street …

SANTA CRUZ — A Sacramento man is headed to state prison for four years for pimping and pandering, stemming from an incident involving a 17-year-old prostitute.
Adrian Corbray, 22, was arrested in April after a Santa Cruz motorcycle officer pulled him over in front of a motel near Broadway and Ocean Street. The officer said that during the stop, Corbray kept looking at a motel room through one of the side mirrors of his vehicle. The officer then saw a young woman and older man exit the room and leave in opposite directions. The officer talked to the man, who told him in Spanish that he was a day laborer who had paid the woman $30 for sex.

Corbray pleaded no contest to five counts, including pimping a minor, pandering a minor and conspiracy.

San Jose Adult Entertainment: Local leader offers insight on Cupertino fugitive

Nancy Young, a local businesswoman, activist and former City Council candidate, said she knows Allman, and was in shock that he was the subject of a manhunt that as of 1:30 p.m. was still ongoing.
“It’s just tragic,” Young said. “Although he looked intimidating, with a bodybuilder physique … to talk to him, he’s like a teddy bear.”
The man Young knew didn’t sound like a man who authorities say opened fire on coworkers, injuring six and killing three, before allegedly injuring a woman during a carjacking.
Young said Allman reached out to her troubled nephew, helping him forgive parents who weren’t there for him, either. Allman, she said, has been through “a whole lot in his life.” His mother was a prostitute, and his father her pimp, Young said.
