San Jose Escorts: Complete Texts of the Speeches Given at Santa Cruz Officers Memorial

Butch had a little telltale sign when was looking for information…He had a little lean and a hop as he peered into your window, office door, hallway. If looked like this….
If it was really serious, you would get the moustache rub.
Since he always wore shorts, sometimes we could tell how serious things were based on the workout his left calf was getting.
The size of Butch’s left calf would change depending on how things were going around the department. How’s the calf today…is the day going to be OK??
Butch loved a practical joke. Everything from
 helping to finance an ad for an 6 a.m. Saturday garage sale at my house
 putting a co-workers house up for sale with a local realtor while they were on vacation
 putting spinner hubcaps on the investigations Lieutenant’s car to “pimp” his ride.

San Jose: Teen runaway rescued during two-day prostitution sting

SAN JOSE — A 16-year-old girl who reportedly spent a third of her life working as a prostitute was rescued during a sting last week that netted 14 arrests of alleged prostitutes and johns, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Aided by federal grant funds, the SJPD Human Trafficking Task Force conducted the two-day operation Feb. 13 and Friday along Monterey Road, considered by police to be the city’s worst area for prostitution. A high concentration of motels combined with heavy vehicle traffic make the issue especially rampant on a stretch of Monterey.
Police launched an undercover sting Feb. 13 where a female officer posed as a prostitute, yielding the arrests and citations of eight people alleged to have solicited the officer.

San Jose Escorts: Police rescue 16-year-old in prostitution sting

San Jose’s Monterey Road corridor is notorious for one thing, people know that’s where the prostitutes hang out. That’s why San Jose police organized a human trafficking task force last week and went undercover twice.
One of the undercover operations took place in a high-traffic area known for prostitutes. It’s around the corner from an elementary school and right in front of a library. One sting busted Johns while the other targeted prostitutes as well.

Torres wants the trafficking and prostitution to stop. He organized a No More Prostitution march on Sept. 27, 2012 because of what many call an up-tick in activity involving young girls.

“They’ve asked us prices and they approach us as if we were prostitutes also,” said the female resident.
Since the stings the prostitutes and Johns have temporarily disappeared.

San Jose Escorts: District attorney says his office should not have dismissed case against Menlo …

… We made a mistake in this case,” said Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen. “We should not have dismissed the soliciting prostitution charge against the police officer.”
“While this case was not dismissed to protect the officer, I have spoken with the prosecutor who made that decision. He now realizes he made an error. While no one likes unfavorable media coverage, I appreciate the media coverage in this case because it brought the mistake to light and allowed me to educate and correct our staff moving forward.”
The Almanac broke the story that veteran Menlo Park police officer Jeffrey Vasquez faced a misdemeanor criminal charge in 2011 after Sunnyvale police caught him naked in a motel room with a woman reportedly hired through “My Redbook,” a website listing local escorts and their phone numbers. Both Officer Vasquez and Natalia Ramirez admitted they were engaging in prostitution, according to court records, then pleaded not guilty.

San Jose Escorts: Santa Cruz shuts down longtime needle exchange site as panel makes array of …

SANTA CRUZ — Amid ongoing outrage from residents about discarded needles on beaches and in parks, a public safety panel unanimously recommended Tuesday that the Santa Cruz City Council approve a plan to more closely monitor needle exchange programs.
The vote came a day after the city attorney issued a cease and desist order on a volunteer-run needle exchange operating for more than 20 years at a laundromat parking lot in the Lower Ocean area. The order requires the landlord to prevent the operation, which is run out of a minivan by Street Outreach Supporters on Tuesday and Friday nights.
City officials disclosed Tuesday that council members, in a closed session last week, deemed the exchange operation a code violation and unanimously instructed the city attorney to take action against the unpermitted use near at the business near Barson and Bixby streets. The neighborhood long has been plagued by drug dealing, violence and prostitution.

San Jose Escorts: Woe Betide the Wealthy

Sulek points out that even Ravi’s divorce was a “sham divorce designed to hide millions of dollars in assets.” Many high-end divorces actually cost millions of dollars in assets. To his credit, I would think, Ravi’s divorce saved him millions of dollars in assets; can this be such a nefarious thing? Apparently the priggish reporter does not approve of a “sham divorce” to save assets. Half of all marriages end in divorce; many due to sexual ennui, mid-life crisis or the need to spend more time with a lover; do these divorces exercise moral superiority over Ravi’s “sham divorce?”
Sulek points out that Ravi used funds “to pay for escort services, prostitutes … and other personal expenses.” Who was supposed to pick up the tab? Remember Ravi did not work for the Port of Oakland; he was an entrepreneur.

San Jose Escorts: Millionaire ‘was murdered in home invasion after prostitute he hired tipped off …

Kaffee wrote in a 2007 declaration filed in the divorce proceedings: ‘However successful Kumra may have once been in business, in my opinion his chronic abuse of alcohol, his chronic use of marijuana, his failure to address his health problems, and his immersion in a fantasy world of prostitutes and illegitimate children have left him without the interest or ability necessary.’
Charged in connection to homicide: The visibly frightened Dixon, of Alameda County, California, was charged with ‘accessory after the fact’ in the November 30 killing of 66-year-old millionaire investor Raveesh Kumra
When the couple divorced, the house, the furnishings, the Mercedes, a cellular phone company and the Tesla venture capital firm were signed over to his wife, which Kaffee believes was done to avoid a pending lawsuit involving Kankakee Cellular of Illinois stripping him of his millions.
The lawsuit accused Kumra of
using funds from the Kankakee bank account ‘to pay for escort services, prostitutes, purchasing condominiums for his female companions and other personal expenses’.

San Jose Escorts: Court filings reveal debauched lifestyle of Monte Sereno murder victim

According to court records, the couple had been officially divorced for two years and the house, the furnishings, the Mercedes, a cellular phone company and the Tesla venture capital firm were hers, not his. Rani Kumra ran her own business out of the house, selling “blessings” to customers and leading spiritual retreats.
But the two businessmen, Kaffee of Maryland and Rodriguez of Danville, contended in court papers the divorce proceeding was a sham. Instead, worried that a pending lawsuit involving Kankakee Cellular of Illinois might strip him of his millions, Ravi Kumra orchestrated the divorce to shelter his assets.
Kumra was concerned, Rodriguez wrote in his declaration, because evidence revealed that “for years Kumra wrote himself millions of dollars in checks directly from the Kankakee bank account, which he characterized as management fees,” but Kumra “performed virtually no services whatsoever.”
Among other things, Rodriguez wrote in his declaration, Kumra used funds from the Kankakee bank account “to pay for escort services, prostitutes, purchasing condominiums for his female companions and other personal expenses.”
