… 01-28) 18:03 PST SAN FRANCISCO — A 44-year-old man shot to death in an invasion-style attack at his home in San Francisco’s Sunset District is suspected of running a brothel out of the house’s basement, sources close to the case said Thursday.
Xiao “Ben” Xiong Luo was shot once by one of two masked men who burst into his home at 2432 Moraga St. just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, police said. Nine other people who were inside the home with Luo were tied up but not harmed.
The assailants fled, and no suspects have been arrested.
Police would not discuss the killers’ possible motive, but three law enforcement sources said inspectors suspect that prostitutes were working in the house. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity, citing the ongoing probe.
